Santa Sacks Appeal 2018

The Multiplex team at the University of Glasgow project supported the Santa Sacks Appeal, to provide food and warm clothing to the disadvantaged and elderly around Glasgow. The Santa Sacks Challenge was supported and launched on Friday 2nd November 2018 with the support of Councillor Hanzala Malik, a strong advocate for the local elderly and Professor Martin Lee, Head of Geographical & Earth Science, Glasgow University.

The project team donated supplies to the appeal including tinned food, tea/coffee and biscuits and then members of the team then helped pack and deliver the presents around the West End of Glasgow.

Barbara Wark from Community Central Hall said,

“On behalf of Community Central Halls, home support service, and our service users I would like to say a huge thank-you for all the generosity shown to us today by making up and delivering Santa sacks to our older people, they were all thrilled to say the least.”
