
Multiplex Burns Charity Ceilidh
The Multiplex Scotland team organised a Burns Charity Ceilidh for Maggie’s and Emmaus. This event was attended by the wider project team and supply chain, raising a fantastic £27,000 which will be split between the two charities.
Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. Emmaus a Glasgow charity dedicated to improving the lives homeless people by getting them into accommodation and providing jobs.
There was a traditional Ceilidh and Address to the Haggis from Paul Heath, with Karlyn Robertson (Maggie’s) and Richard Allwood (Emmaus) speaking about the important work of each charity.
Peter Martin a TV presenter and ex-footballer compèred including an auction with prizes including a weekend at the Peat Inn suits, Spring Ball tables, Golf days and tickets to Texas at the SSE Hydro.
A raffle also saw guests win prizes including an overnight stay at the Hilton Grosvenor and £200 gift voucher for Emmaus furniture shop.
