5 students from the FemEng Society at the University of Glasgow visited the Learning & Teaching Hub project.

The Fem Eng Society are a group of multi-disciplinary female engineering students at the University of Glasgow  which aims to tackle the gender imbalance within engineering and its effect on students, the younger generation and industry professionals. The society organise outreach work to local schools, networking events with industry and an annual trip to Rwanda to support female engineers there.

Multiplex hosted the society at the Learning & Teaching Hub site, to learn about the project, the engineering works and to experience a live construction site. The visit began with a presentation to the students, followed by a Health & Safety induction and a site visit.

“It was an extremely interesting visit and thanks to Multiplex for being so informative.  We are excited to see the progress of the new Learning and Teaching Hub and look forward to using it one day!“ Paula Pappas, FemEng Project Manager.
